Yes. We do provide zero capex solution to the eligible commercial, industrial and government customers. With this scheme, customer doesn’t have to pay for any upfront cost. GSPARX will also cover the maintenance and repair throughout the contract period. Customer only pays for solar energy payment at a lower tariff, hence resulting in savings in the electricity bill.
Alternatively, we also provide an outright purchase option.
Yes. If you choose the Outright Purchase option, you can enjoy these 2 incentives:
• Green Investment Tax Allowance (GITA) – Green Investment Tax Allowance of 100% of qualifying capital expenditure incurred on green technology project for three (3) years from the date of first qualifying capital expenditure (CAPEX) incurred. The allowance can be offset against 70% of statutory income for each year of assessment. MIDA GITA has been extended until year 2025.
• Capital Allowance – Capital allowance is allocated to compensate the commercial & industrial customers who invest in a solar PV system. It is claimable under the category of “Plant & Machinery”. The initial allowance is 20% for the first year and 14% for subsequent year up to 6 years.
The Average System Marginal Price (SMP) means the monthly average System Marginal Price for the daily period between 7:00 hour to 19:00 hour in the immediately preceding month.
No. For NEM Nova, all the offset will be done in the same billing cycle. Under normal circumstances, a commercial & industrial customer will not have more export energy compared to import energy due to the solar PV design under Suruhanjaya Tenaga guideline, it shall follow 75% of the annual recorded maximum demand or 60% of the current transformer / fuse rating. Thus, under ideal condition, there’ll be impossible to have more export energy compared to import energy.
Under NEM and Self Consumption guidelines, the capacity of solar that you can install for your building is subject to the following design criteria:
• 75% of the maximum demand (based on 12 months average consumption), or
• 60% of current transformer or fuse rating (for Tariff B and D)
Hence, although you may have plenty of roof area, we may not be able to utilize all of them.
GSPARX normally offer between 15 to 20 years of contract period for commercial, industrial customer and government agencies who fulfill our eligibility criteria for the zero capex scheme. The longer the contract period, the lower solar tariff we can offer to you.
GSPARX will charge customer based on a fixed and lower solar tariff compared to TNB tariff to the customer. The concept is the customer is buying the energy generated from solar instead of buying the energy from TNB.
GSPARX will transfer the ownership of the solar PV system to the customer and will not charge any solar tariff based on the energy generated from solar PV system to the customer, hence customer will enjoy higher savings after the contract ends.
The chargeman is required for solar installation above 72kWac. This is a mandatory requirement imposed by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
No. Under NEM Nova, all the solar PV system shall be installed on the rooftop. Customer can build a solar car park or building integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) instead.
